Vergil

Vergil is a fictional character from the Devil May Cry series that was created and published by Capcom. He is one of two hybrid sons of a demon knight called Sparda and as a result possesses supernatural powers. During the original Devil May Cry game, Vergil is killed by demons early in his life and his soul is controlled by Mundus. Vergil's name was taken from Dante Alighieri's poem the Divine Comedy.
